Todi's country
Morruzze
Its
construction is comprised between the 1147 and the 1149.
The
Morruzze’s inhabitant was
mountain strong and laborious, lead a hard life and their resource was the
forests, of badly to bear fierce and proud character the corvčes that
city asked they it for Todi, on which they depended and also they had to
take part to the reconstruction of thecastle of Montemarte ; large calamities picked them in the course of their history:
the plague of the 1348, the occupation of the troops of Carl VIII,
that they depredated the poor families of how much had, and the violence
of Altobello Chiaravalle, Ghibelline, than then were defeated and
slaughtered to Acquasparta.
In
XVII the century, Morruzze to become
property of the Paparini’s family
who magnified the palace and founded the oratory of S.Ambrogio.

Morruzzesi erano montanari forti e laboriosi, conducevano una vita dura e
la loro risorsa erano i boschi ,
di carattere fiero ed orgoglioso mal sopportavano le corvčes che chiedeva
loro la cittŕ di Todi, da cui dipendevano e anche loro dovettero prendere
parte alla ricostruzione del castello di Montemarte , grosse calamitŕ li
colsero nel corso della loro storia: la peste del 1348, l'occupazione
delle truppe di Carlo VIII, che depredarono le povere famiglie di quanto
avevano, e la violenza di Altobello Chiaravalle, ghibellino, che poi fu
sconfitto e trucidato ad Acquasparta.
Nel XVII secolo, Morruzze divenne proprietŕ dei signori Paparini che
ingrandirono il palazzo e fondarono l'oratorio di S.Ambrogio.
